Location: Minneapolis, MN
Compensation: This is an unpaid live-in position with housing fully covered.
FLSA Status: Volunteer / Housing Exchange
Schedule: Varies; on-site presence required 


About Us & Position Summary

Fellowship Recovery is a structured housing program dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Our mission is to provide safe, supportive, and accountable housing environments that promote long-term sobriety, personal growth, and stability.
 

The Sober Living House Manager provides on-site supervision and support to residents in a structured, male sober living home. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to uphold program expectations while supporting residents in their recovery journey.

Note: Due to the nature of this specific residence and privacy needs of residents, this position requires a male staff member in accordance with DHS and state licensing regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the sober house, ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment.

  • Conduct regular house meetings and wellness checks with residents.

  • Enforce program rules and expectations fairly and consistently.

  • Support residents in adhering to their recovery plans and attending meetings or treatment sessions.

  • Complete accurate documentation, including incident reports, progress notes, and UA logs in OneStep (if applicable).

  • Administer and record urine analyses (UAs) as required.

  • Coordinate maintenance requests, supplies, and resident move-ins/outs.

  • Communicate effectively with Fellowship Recovery staff, case managers, and other support professionals.

  • Provide on-call support or emergency response as needed.

  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and recovery-oriented behavior.


Qualifications & Schedule 

  • Must have personal experience in recovery with at least 1 year of continuous sobriety (preferred).

  • Previous experience in housing management, peer support, or recovery leadership is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and professionally.

  • Proficient in note-taking, documentation, and using systems such as OneStep.

  • Flexible hours depending on the needs of the house.

  • May include some evenings and weekends.


Compensation and Benefits

  • No monetary wage; position is a housing exchange for service.
